Vanessa Yearsley (she/her/they) is a mezzo-soprano residing in New York City as a Master of Music in Classical Voice student at the Manhattan School of Music. Yearsley holds a B.M. in Vocal Performance from Cal State University Fullerton and an A.A. in Music Studies from Cabrillo College. Her studies have taken her around the world from Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Russia, Jamaica, and Switzerland. Their notable roles include Dorabella in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte, L'écureuil in Ravel’s L'enfant et les Sortilèges, La Badessa in Puccini's Suor Angelica, and Nada in Ana Sokolovic's Svadba. Yearsley is currently teaching privately, collaborating with composers setting her original poetry to song, and in her second year as a graduate voice student at MSM.
